5 days 4 nights to discover Luberon

Day 1 : Towards Fontaine de Vaucluse

You arrive in Bonnieux in the morning, where our travel agency team takes care of your luggage (if you chose the option) and presents you the travel documents as well as your bikes or ebikes. You can visit the village before taking off.

Itinerary day 1 : 35 km

Go and follow the Picasso and Nicolas de Stael's tracks and discover the fortress, historic heritage of the village of Ménerbes. Then you'll go back on the road towards Oppède-le-Vieux and allow yourself to be seduced by the beautiful XIIth century collegiate church that overlooks the village. After having enjoyed the view, you will go down to Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, nicknamed the « Comtat's Venice » because of the many Sorgue's arms that cross it.
Enjoy an afternoon walk in the streets of this ancient fishermen's village. You will sleep in Fontaine de Vaucluse, where you can discover the impressive green-emerald spring that spurts at the bottom of the cliff.

Day 2 : The abbey of Senanque

Itinerary 2 : 35 km

After a nice breakfast, take the time to visit Fontaine de Vaucluse and see the impressive spring which gave the name to the village. Then you will take the road to go to Gordes, one of the most beautiful villages of France, don't miss out the famous Sénanque Abbey.
Next you go to Roussillon, in the heart of the biggest ocher deposit in the world and enjoy the fabulous colours of the
landscapes. You sleep there.

Day 3 : Along the road of the ochers

Itinéraire jour 3 : 35km

After your breakfast, take the charming road of the ochers towards the village of Gargas. Then take the way up to the pretty little village of Saignon. After having enjoyed the stunning view over all the valley, you will go down to the village of Rustrel also called « the Provençal Colorado ». You can spend spend some time walking in the little streets and admiring the XVIIth century castle that was restored recently. Finally, you will go to Apt, a charming town where you will spend the night.

Day 4 : Towards the Aigue Valley

Itinerary day 4 : 60km

You will leave in the morning to the village of Cereste, situated at the border between Vaucluse and Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. Then let yourself roam among fabulous landscapes to the village of la Bastide des Jourdans in the Aigues Valley. You willleave the fortified village to go to Lourmarin, one of the most beautiful French villages. Just like Albert Camus, allow yourself to be seduced by the narrow streets that lead to the castle. You will sleep there.

Day 5 : Back to Bonnieux

Itinerary day 5 : 60km

After your breakfast, you will continue to discover Luberon along the Durance up to the village of Mallemort. Then you will go back on the road to go to Cavaillon nicknamed the « Melon Capital ». After a fruit tasting, you will go back through Oppède-le-Vieux to then come back to Bonnieux end of the afternoon.
